• Win10. • Home • Pro
• Win8.x • Core • Pro
• Win7... • Starter • Home Basic • Home Premium • Pro • Ultimate
• Vista... • Starter • Home Basic • Home Premium • Business • Ultimate

How To

• run 'OEM-Sync.exe' on 'live' Windows OS to generate summarized report of 'OEM' inspection
• run 'OEM-Sync.exe' with '/OEM' parameter from 'oobe.cmd' to initiate advanced processes

• $oem$ applies manufacturer branding|activation to Win10 • 8.x • 7 • Vista 'iso'
• activation requires (Win10|Win8.x 'OEM-DM' • Win7 '2.1 slic' • Vista '2.0 slic') type bios
• please read 'readme' files included in the download folder, for additional information
• UltraISO recommended to edit|save your 'iso', preserving 'bootable' image

Win10|Win8x

Place the downloaded '$oem$' folder in the 'sources' folder of your 'clean' iso, and edit|save iso. 'OEM-Sync.exe' will extract embedded 'OEM-DM' serial from bios (if exists), and apply the serial during installation. (Project 'Options' folder includes 'ei.cfg' instructions for Win8.1).

Win7

Place the downloaded '$oem$' folder in the 'sources' folder of your 'clean' iso, and delete the 'ei.cfg' file from the same 'sources' folder and edit|save iso... during install you will have option to select the edition of 'Win7' you want installed (ie. Starter • Home Basic • Home Premium • Pro • Ultimate)... if you don't delete 'ei.cfg' file, that's OK, just means Ultimate will install by default.

Vista

Place the downloaded '$oem$' folder in the 'sources' folder of your 'clean' iso, and delete the 'PID.txt' file (if exists) from the same 'sources' folder and edit|save iso... during install you will have option to select the edition of 'Vista' you want installed (ie. Starter • Home Basic • Home Premium • Business • Ultimate)... if you don't delete 'PID.txt' file, that's OK, just means serial used on that file will determine edition installed.

Process Description

Win10|Win8.x

Contents of '$oem$' folder are silently added during install, and script silently checks for manufacturer brand, and applies appropriate oem theme|LockScreen|user account image|wallpaper|logos|etc. 'OEM-DM' serial will be extracted and applied (if exists).

When you view system properties... your brand logo should be displayed, and system activated. Desktop Wallpaper|LockScreen and user account images should all be manufacturer brand of your PC... and Desktop Wallpaper|LockScreen image will be auto-changed to your monitor resolution, if the appropriate image resolution size file is included during installation (default image resolution size is 1366x768)... Walllpaper|LockScreen image resolution sizes 1366x768, 1920x1200 have been included in all brand folders, (1920x1080, 1680x1050, 1600x900, 1280x800, & 1280x720 are made 'on-the-fly' from included images, without cropping etc., if required) and more resolution sizes can be added to the folders, by following instructions in the 'readme.txt' files.

Win7

Contents of '$oem$' folder are silently added during install, and script silently checks for edition installed and for manufacturer brand, and applies appropriate oem theme|logon-off|user account image|wallpaper|logos|cert|serial|etc, for that brand... (if your brand has no 'leaked' serial for the edition installed, then Acer serial is used). During installation, pop-up box requesting serial will not appear.

When you view system properties... your brand logo should be displayed, and system activated. Desktop Wallpaper|Logon-Off and user account images should all be manufacturer brand of your PC... and Desktop Wallpaper|Background Logon-Off image will be auto-changed to your monitor resolution, if the appropriate image resolution size file is included during installation (default image resolution size is 1366x768)... Walllpaper|Background image resolution sizes 1366x768, 1920x1200 have been included in all brand folders, (1920x1080, 1680x1050, 1600x900, 1280x800, & 1280x720 are made 'on-the-fly' from included images, without cropping etc., if required) and more resolution sizes can be added to the folders, by following instructions in the 'readme.txt' files. 'Backgrounds' logon image file sizes (kb's) are checked during install, and auto-reduced to 256kb or below, if required. Wallpaper file sizes|quality are un-touched.

Vista

Similar to above 'Win7' process occurs, with a few exceptions...

1. Without a 'PID.txt' file being present, windows will ask for a product key, so just select options to install without key, and select edition you want to install... the script will add the key later, for the edition you chose to install.

2. Logon background is not changed in 'Vista', as the images used for this purpose are stored in a system .dll file (which I would not patch with alternative images), and as such the script deletes any useless 'backgrounds' folder during the installation process.

Win10|Win8.x|Win7|Vista

If manufacturer brand string|s not detected; then Windows Default theme will be applied.
All unused files will be self deleted.
